Christoph Ingenhoven
"Is there a more beautiful place than here to contemplate Europe?"
Christoph Ingenhoven would like to cut the Gordian knot of the castle
discussion and soothe the nerves with a park on the site of the castle
square and Marx-Engels Forum. Like Central Park in Manhattan, a park
between 'Unter den Linden‘ and Alexanderplatz would develop an identity
of its own. It would also provide time for a moratorium, at the end of
which the redevelopment of
the castle area with a truly worthwhile, necessary and appropriate use
could take place – or the decision made to keep the park.
