A new architecture center in Spain
A new architecture center in Spain: Barcelona Centro Arquitectura, BCA and AedesBerlin
In collaboration with the newly established "Barcelona Centro Arquitectura, BCA" the international architecture forum "AedesBerlin" will open an architecture center in the city of Barcelona on Calle Aragon 247 / Rambla Catalunya (50 meters from Tapies Foundation). Kristin Feireiss and Hans-Jürgen Commerell, directors of AedesBerlin and Eduard Sancho Pou, director of BCA/Aedes signed the agreement in February 2004.
The cooperation's aim is to install an international and interdisciplinary program with exhibitions, discussions and publications on architecture and urbanism. The first phase of the exhibition-program will last from May until October 2004. BCA and AedesBerlin connect their existing local networks to establish a vivid exchange between the two cities and nations and share experience in the field of architectural and urban culture and other related technologies and sciences. To create a visible sign of the partnership, the new architecture center in Barcelona will carry the names of both institutions: Barcelona Centro Arquitectura, BCA/AedesBerlin.
AedesBerlin follows the call from Barcelona with great enthusiasm and will generate together with their friends and international partners a lively venue and challenging platform in Barcelona
BCA / AedesBerlin is made possible through the help of sponsors and institutional partners.
